Oslo-headquartered Statkraft has chosen ABB to make sure the effectivity and reliability of its hydropower operations in northern Norway.
ABB will modernise automation, management and energy options at Statkraft’s Straumsmo and Innset hydropower vegetation.
Both tasks will leverage ABB’s distributed management platform ABB Ability System 800xA, which centralises course of management, energy administration, electrical, and security inside a typical system.
ABB says the system will allow full management of the powerplant, from high-voltage switchgear to low-voltage motor management, administration of AC/DC techniques and lighting and heating at every plant, based on a press release.

ABB has beforehand delivered automation options at Statkraft’s Nedre Røssåga, Øvre Røssåga, Bjerka, Skjomen and Adamselv hydro vegetation.
