Saudi Aramco has awarded the primary large-scope built-in providers contract for its Marjan oilfield – the primary of three main offshore expansions in Saudi Arabia, and the corporate’s largest upstream growth undertaking this 12 months – to Baker Hughes, a GE firm (BHGE). Under the contract’s phrases, BHGE will present drilling providers, coiled tubing providers and drilling fluids engineering providers in Marjan.

The work will begin this month with an intention to extend the sector’s capability. BHGE’s provision of drilling providers will embody logging-while-drilling, reservoir navigation providers, and rotary steerable providers.
