The Board of Borr Drilling Limited introduced that Pal Kibsgaard has been formally appointed as the brand new Chairman of the Board in a board assembly of the Company. Mr Kibsgaard will change Tor Olav Troim as Chairman, who will proceed to function a Director and has been appointed as Deputy Chairman. As beforehand introduced, Mr. Kibsgaard was elected as a director of the corporate on the Company’s AGM on September 27, 2019.
Mr. Kibsgaard has by way of his 27 years of expertise, a deep data of the oil and fuel business. He has held a wide range of world senior administration positions at Schlumberger Limited, together with Chairman and CEO, COO, President of the Reservoir Characterization Group, VP of Engineering, Manufacturing and Sustaining, and VP of Human Resources. A petroleum engineer, with a grasp diploma from Norwegian Institute of Technology, he started his profession in 1992 working for Exxon Mobil.
Kibsgaard has been the CEO of Schlumberger since 1 August 2011, succeeding Andrew Gould, who retired as chairman and CEO. Kibsgaard retired from Schlumberger on 1 August 2019, and was succeeded as CEO by Olivier Le Peuch.
