The Orlivska WPP is the third DTEK accomplished its third wind venture in Ukraine – the Orlivska wind energy venture. The plant is positioned on the shore of the Sea of Azov in Zaporizhzhia Region and consists of 26 high-tech wind generators manufactured by Vestas, three.eight MW every. The investments within the Orlivska WPP venture amounted to 131 million euros, 40 million euros of them are providers and gear equipped by the Ukrainian corporations.
The Orlivska WPP will generate yearly 380 mln kWh of inexperienced electrical energy, which is sufficient to provide 190 thousand non-public households. The plant helps cut back CO2 emissions into the environment by 400 thousand tons per 12 months.
“Two years in the past, DTEK formally introduced its strategic aim – to construct 1 GW of the renewable power in operation by the tip of 2019. Today now we have reached this aim. We have invested greater than 1 billion euros within the renewable power sector of Ukraine; and now we have created the distinctive experience that allowed us to implement these large-scale and revolutionary initiatives, – says Maxim Timchenko, DTEK CEO. – We are assured that Ukraine can grow to be the chief of decarbonization in Europe, offering our nation with the homegrown clear power. DTEK RENEWABLES initiatives that had been carried out beforehand are – the Botievska WPP (200 MW) and the Tryfanovska SPP (10 MW). The vegetation in operation will generate virtually 2.5 billion kWh of the renewable power, and assist cut back CO2 emissions by 2.6 million tons per 12 months.
