Eni has efficiently launched a brand new manufacturing properly within the Vandumbu discipline, about 218 mi (350 km) north-west of Luanda and 81 mi (130 km) west of Soyo, within the West Hub of Block 15/06, in Angola’s offshore.
The start-up of the VAN-102 properly – which follows the start-up of the second Subsea Multiphase Boosting System (SMBS) – befell by means of the N'Goma FPSO and achieved a efficiency of about 13,000 bbl. VAN-102 is an extra step within the improvement of the Vandumbu discipline, launched on Nov. 29, 2018, three months forward of schedule, and which will likely be accomplished in first-quarter 2019 with the start-up of the water injection properly. This, along with the start-up of one other manufacturing properly within the Mpungi discipline, will deliver the manufacturing of Block 15/06 to a complete of about 170,000 boed, additional extending the manufacturing plateau.
