Wildcat properly 7132/2-1 was drilled about 109 mi (175 km) north of Vardø, within the southeastern a part of the Barents Sea.
The major exploration goal for the properly was to show petroleum in reservoir rocks from the Middle and Early Jurassic Age (the Stø, Nordmela, Tubåen and Fruholmen formation). The secondary exploration goal was reservoir rocks from the Early Cretaceous and Late Triassic Age (higher a part of the Snadd formation).
In the first exploration goal, properly 7132/2-1 encountered about 49 ft (15 m) of sandstone reservoir with good reservoir high quality within the Støformasjonen. In the Nordmela, Tubåen and Fruholmen formation, the properly encountered about 82 ft (25 m) of sandstone reservoir with superb reservoir high quality. The properly is dry.
No reservoir rocks have been encountered within the secondary exploration goal within the Lower Cretaceous. In the higher a part of the Snadd formation, the properly encountered a water-filled sandstone reservoir totalling about 98 ft (30 m) with average to good reservoir high quality.
Extensive information acquisition and sampling have been carried out.
This is the primary exploration properly in manufacturing licence 857. The licence was awarded within the 23rd licensing spherical in 2016.
Well 7132/2-1 was drilled to a vertical depth of two,795 ft (852 m) beneath the ocean floor and was terminated within the higher a part of the Snadd formation within the Late Triassic. Water depth on the website is 961 ft (293 m). The properly has been completely plugged and deserted.
