Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has accepted ExxonMobil’s handover of its operated fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) to Point Resources.

The resolution provides Point consent to make use of amenities on the Balder, Ringhorne, Ringhorne Øst and Jotun. PSA stated change of operator requires an utility for consent to make use of the amenities, as consent is an expression of the PSA's confidence that the working firm is ready to assume duty for operations in a correct method and in compliance with the rules.
