Framatome was awarded a contract to ship the reactor safety system for models 1 and a pair of on the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant II in Russia. The contract contains planning, designing, manufacturing and implementing the system.
This contract builds on the 2018 memorandum of understanding Framatome signed with Rusatom Automated Control Systems (RASU), an organization of Russia’s Rosatom State Corporation. The settlement contains, the cooperation in delivering I&C subsystems designed by Framatome to the Russian NPP development tasks, with the potential localization of parts and methods manufacturing at Rosatom’s enterprises.
