Plans to increase a quayside within the Highlands will create round 140 new jobs.
The Port of Cromarty Firth (PoCF) board introduced funding of £30m in the direction of the enlargement, which is anticipated to be accomplished by 2020.
The quayside will act as an power and cruise hub and can be capable of accommodate massive scale renewable, decommissioning and oil and gasoline tasks.

It would be the second quayside and laydown space to be constructed by the Port within the final three years.
In 2015/16, it invested £25m in a brand new 150m quayside and 9 acre laydown space.
Bob Buskie, PoCF chief government, stated: “This is great information for the Port and the Highlands and it represents a major funding by the Board.
“As a Trust Port, all of our earnings are reinvested within the Port's future improvement.
