What are they on the lookout for?

Iberdrola is trying to assist these industries on their power transition, looking for ad-hoc options for factories to enhance the effectivity of the power used whereas lowering CO2 emissions in a sustainable and cost-effective method.

The options despatched, which can be analysed by the Industrial Heating and Cooling’s enterprise of Iberdrola group, should meet the next wants:

  • Automation challenge design for decarbonisation of business processes utilizing software program instruments.
  • Hybridisation of fresh applied sciences, for instance: warmth pumps, electrical furnaces, power effectivity measures, inexperienced hydrogen or self-consumption by distributed renewable power.
  • Energy Consumption and Savings simulations.
  • Project finance calculations based mostly on challenge CAPEX and OPEX inputs: Investment Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV) and Payback Periods (PB).

The proposals can be analysed based mostly on standards of:

  • Scalability
  • Replicability
  • Ease of implementation
  • Integration of ad-hoc decarbonisation options for industrial crops

And the prize?

The chosen challenge can be developed in collaboration with the technical specialists from the Iberdrola Industrial Heating and Cooling space.

The prize will include Iberdrola signing a collaboration settlement for the event of a proof-of-concept with PERSEO or with some other related Iberdrola group firm, which is able to assume the prices and supply the winner with the required technical help, giving entry to infrastructures and actual information to check the answer.

If the proof-of-concept is passable, Iberdrola might supply the winner the chance to scale up the answer via industrial agreements. In addition, PERSEO might take into account investing within the participant.
