Maersk Drilling has been awarded a contract extension for the jack-up rig Maersk Convincer by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP). Maersk Convincer is a Baker Marine Pacific 375 jackup constructed at Jurong Shipyard in Singapore by Sembcorp Marine. The unit was delivered in 2008.
Maersk Drilling has been working with BSP constantly since 2007 with the Maersk Completer and the Maersk Convincer respectively. The present contract for the Maersk Convincer has now been prolonged for an additional agency 912 days with as much as three years of choices. The contract extension will start in November 2018, in direct continuation of the present contract.
