Maersk Drilling has been awarded a contract extension for the jackup rig Maersk Convincer by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP).
Maersk Drilling has been working with BSP repeatedly since 2007 with the Maersk Completer and the Maersk Convincer respectively. The present contract for the Maersk Convincer has now been prolonged for one more agency 912 days with as much as three years of choices. The contract extension will start in November 2018, in direct continuation of the present contract.

We have been working repeatedly for BSP since 2007 and greater than 70 wells have been drilled offshore Brunei and with a number of deal with creating the native Bruneian workforce. Over the years we now have developed a really collaborative setting enabling very robust and protected efficiency. We stay dedicated to working nearer with BSP to find methods to drive down properly prices and this contract extension allows that work,” says Morten Kelstrup, CCIO in Maersk Drilling.
The contract extension with BSP follows a variety of new contracts and contract extensions for Maersk Drilling over the previous six months. To date, Maersk Drilling has added 1,200 days and $116 million to the backlog. The firm’s contract protection stays one of many strongest within the trade.
