State utility regulators have accepted plans by Mississippi Power to develop and construct its first-ever stand-alone photo voltaic power and battery storage system.

The Mississippi Public Service Commission signed off on the utility’s challenge to assemble and function the brand new solar-storage web site in Walnut Grove. The photo voltaic array would generate as much as 1.5 MW, whereas the battery storage system may present 5 MWh for purchasers.
