The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted consent for start-up of the Aasta Hansteen facility within the Norwegian Sea. Operator Equinor plans to begin manufacturing throughout the course of autumn 2018.
Consent for start-up of Aasta Hansteen is granted to the licensees in manufacturing licenses 218 and 218 B.
Aasta Hansteen is situated approx. 320 km west of Bodø. Water depth within the space is 1,270 m. The subject is developed with a SPAR platform (a floating set up with a vertical cylindrical hull anchored to the seabed).
The Aasta Hansteen subject is setting many data. Never earlier than has gear been put in on the Norwegian Shelf at a depth of almost 1,300 m.
