The Aasta Hansteen subject is setting many data. Never earlier than has gear been put in on the Norwegian Shelf at a depth of almost 1,300 m. The SPAR platform is the primary of its sort in Norway, and the most important on the planet with its 70,000 tonnes. The facility can also be the primary on the planet with a condensate storage tank.

Two subsea templates, every with 4 slots, and two subsea templates with one slot every (satellites) are positioned on the seabed. The drilling of wells on the sphere is progressing nicely, and a complete of eight manufacturing wells will probably be drilled.

Investment prices for growth of the sphere are anticipated to quantity to round NOK 37.5 billion, which is inside the vary of uncertainty indicated within the plan for growth and operation (PDO).

The Snefrid Nord discovery, made in 2015 in manufacturing license 218, has been included within the Aasta Hansteen growth, subsequent to the PDO. The anticipated funding value is just below NOK 1 billion.

Equinor estimates the anticipated recoverable reserves for Aasta Hansteen, together with Snefrid Nord, at 55.6 Bscm fuel and zero.6 MMscm condensate. Gas from Aasta Hansteen will probably be transported within the Polarled pipeline to the Nyhamna terminal in Møre og Romsdal for additional export to the United Kingdom. Produced condensate will probably be loaded onto tankers and shipped to the market.

“Start-up of Aasta Hansteen opens the door for fuel manufacturing from a very new province within the northern Norwegian Sea.
