Seajacks has gained a contract from Siemens Gamesa to put in its 6MW generators at section 2 of the 120MW Formosa 1 offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
The award is the primary time the Great Yarmouth-based firm has gained a renewables contract exterior of Europe.
Seajacks Zaratan will website all 20 SWT-6.Zero-154 wind generators within the Taiwan Strait, with the 10,000-tonne jack-up vessel scheduled to start work within the second quarter of 2019.

Seajacks might be putting in the generators for the Macquarie Capital, Ørsted and Swancor-owned challenge in round 30 metres of water, as much as six kilometres off the coast of Miaoli County in north-west Taiwan.
Formosa Phase 2 is a key growth for the state because it strikes away from conventional energy sources in the direction of renewable vitality.
Phase 1 of Formosa featured two 4MW demonstration generators put in in 2016.
