Subsea 7 introduced the award of a big contract by Chevron U.S.A for the subsea set up providers on the St. Malo subject, positioned within the Walker Ridge space of the Gulf of Mexico. The St. Malo subject is roughly 250 miles south of New Orleans.
Subsea 7’s scope of labor consists of challenge administration, engineering, procurement, building and set up of the multiphase pump system on the St. Malo subject, a 14 mile water injection flowline system, inclusive of a Swagelining polymer lined flowline, and the water injection management system.
Project administration and engineering will start instantly at Subsea 7’s places of work in Houston, Texas. Fabrication of the water injection flowline and riser will happen at Subsea 7’s spoolbase in Ingleside, Texas, with offshore operations occurring in 2021.
Craig Broussard, Vice President for Subsea 7 US, mentioned, “The St. Malo multiphase pump system and water injection tasks award is a vital win for the Gulf of Mexico area. It combines the utilisation of our latest pipelay vessel, the Seven Vega, together with Subsea 7’s confirmed challenge execution capabilities and Swagelining’s polymer lining expertise. In addition, the mixture of the SURF scope for Subsea 7 and ongoing subsea tools supply by OneSubsea, will enable the Subsea Integration Alliance to work in collaboration with Chevron to unlock the worth of an built-in strategy to challenge optimisation.”
