An Aberdeen know-how organisation has launched a programme bringing collectively the world’s “main minds” to deal with key points within the oil and gasoline business.
The Oil & Gas Technology Centre as we speak launches TechX Ventures, a partnership aiming to create start-up corporations that drive the business in the direction of a sustainable future. In collaboration with Deep Science Ventures, the initiative has recruited three worldwide groups of scientists and engineering specialists, with every crew assigned a key problem, equivalent to methods to greatest use automation know-how.
The nine-month programme hopes to create start-ups with the know-how to assist resolve these points. Tese corporations will then enter the following cohort of the TechX pioneer accelerator programme in May 2019, which provides as much as £100,000 funding.
David Millar, TechX director for the Oil & Gas Technology Centre, mentioned: “We’re delighted to be working with the world’s main minds in science and engineering to create new start-ups and applied sciences that place the oil and gasoline business for a sustainable future in a low carbon financial system. “With TechX Ventures, we’re not counting on current options – we’re taking recent considering with new corporations and new mental property.
“Deep Science Ventures leverages basic deep science ideas to deconstruct know-how challenges and creates new ventures with radical concepts. This is a novel strategy for the oil and gasoline business and one which we’re very excited to be main on.”
