Weatherford International has signed two contracts totaling $67.four million for drilling providers with two main operators in Russia.
The first contract spans two-and-a-half years. Operations started in July 2019 and can final via the top of 2022. Weatherford will present logging-while-drilling (LWD), measurement-while-drilling (MWD), rotary steerable techniques (RSS), drilling, and geo-data interpretation providers at a number of oilfields in Western Siberia.
The second contract is a three-year drilling providers contract. Operations will start in early 2020 with Weatherford offering LWD, MWD, RSS, geosteering, and geo-data interpretation providers on the Novyi Port oilfield on the Yamal Peninsula.
“These long-term contracts with main operators in Russia are a testomony to Weatherford’s document of advancing drilling expertise and delivering wonderful service in that area,” stated Fayaz Kamalov, Weatherford Vice President of Russia. “Major Russian operators are investing in Weatherford drilling providers due to our best-in-market expertise, unceasing dedication to rising our capabilities, and the skilled information of our workforce.”
At current, Weatherford is operating a number of native amenities to assist its prospects and operations in Russia. Three full-time drilling service facilities in key manufacturing areas throughout Russia preserve discipline tools, and one Real-Time Operations Center offers around-the-clock distant assist for all ongoing initiatives. Weatherford can also be mobilizing the Magnus® RSS to Russia to help with elevated exercise and difficult buyer necessities which the system is uniquely suited to handle.
