Seadrill Norway Operations Limited has been awarded a contract for drilling two exploration wells for Equinor within the Barents Sea by use of the West Hercules semi-submersible drilling rig. Drilling is scheduled to begin within the spring of 2019.
The contract consists of choices for drilling 9 extra wells. The rig is primarily assigned for exploration drilling. The contract relies on a grasp framework settlement established between Seadrill and Equinor.
The rig proprietor is chargeable for built-in drilling providers, corresponding to casing working, remote-operated vessel (ROV), slop therapy and cuttings dealing with.
