Technology agency Hitachi ABB Power Grids has been chosen to supply its power storage resolution for Singapore’s first digital energy plant.
Hitachi ABB Power Grids will present its e-mesh PowerRetailer battery power storage system to make sure the steadiness of the grid community. The system will likely be used to steadiness intermittent era with sensible and dynamic hundreds.
The digital energy plant mission was launched in 2019 by the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University and collectively funded by Singapore’s Energy Market Authority (EMA) and Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp).
The digital energy plant will use power generated from distributed power assets together with photo voltaic and wind, combine it intelligently into the primary grid and make sure the stability of the grid.
Our sister publication, Smart Energy International will likely be internet hosting a webinar on power storage purposes on the 25th of February. The dialogue will have a look at the operational advantages of modern use circumstances for each the utility and the patron. Register right here to attend.
Nirupa Chander, nation managing director of Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Singapore, mentioned: “Singapore operates some of the dependable electrical energy networks on the earth.
“This mission is an efficient instance of how a number of stakeholders i.e. the federal government (EMA), academia (NTU), trade (Sembcorp) and know-how suppliers like us collaborate to ship modern options and speed up the power transition for a greener future,” she added.
